MFA Mobile

Role: UX & UI Designer, Animator

MFA Mobile offers visitors further exhibition & gallery content to explore during their visits.

I designed two responsive templates to be used within our Drupal CMS System, both a dark and a light, with the option of changing the background color and typographically designing the first slide, to act as the header for the page, as a video or an image. Both design decisions have given me the flexibility to create a quirky environment for displaying engaging MFA content.

Below are several MFA Mobile Pages for Special Exhibitions & Galleries at the MFA.

Takashi Murakami: Lineage of Eccentrics

“Contemporary works by Takashi Murakami, one of the most imaginative and important artists working today, are juxtaposed with treasures from the MFA’s renowned collection of Japanese art.”

Megacities Asia

A collection of artist interviews and artist objects videos for Megacities Asia Exhibition.

“The accelerated rise of megacities—those with populations of more than ten million—over the last 50 years has profoundly affected the lives of their inhabitants. Asia is home to more megacities than any other continent: the works by the 11 artists in this exhibition respond to the political, environmental, and social conditions of their home cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Seoul, conveying their textures, proportions, and striking material and visual juxtapositions.”

Class Distinctions

A digital slideshow of an album of Dutch watercolors displayed in the gallery for Class Distinction Exhibition.

“From nobles to merchants to milkmaids, Dutch artists in the time of Rembrandt and Vermeer portrayed all levels of society in masterful detail.“

Japanese Garden Tenshin-en

Two videos that examine the MFA’s unique Japanese Garden design and renovation.
